Ms. Vermilyea encouraged all in the fact that by binding together we can accomplish much in the face of adversities.   She held up a "Rebuild: Working as One" T-Shirt from the 2009 New Orleans Rebuild program featuring the logos of many religious groups working in disaster response and said this is proof that we CAN work side by side in an ecumenical and interfaith response to the needs around us.  For more info. on the Lutheran response click here.    The members of LIDRN are excited to have a new website in the works: www.lidrn.net.  (Currently they have a piggyback site through the L.I.C., but this will be phased out soon, and eventually they plan to use a ".org" website.)
