Dear Members and Friends of the LIC,

Thank you for your cards and notes of congratulations on my retirement!  I know that a good number of you wanted to be at the retirement luncheon on March 24,2022, here in Baton Rouge, but schedules did not permit.  That being said, the luncheon at the City Club was wonderful!  I knew my younger son Morgan would be present, but it took me completely by surprise when our other son, Eric, came through the entrance to the table where we were gathered for lunch.  Thank you so much for the gift of the purse that we will most likely use to take a trip later this year!  I've read through the Tributes, and I am so grateful for your kindness and thoughtfulness expressed in them.  You all were very generous!

There are so many of you who had a role in any successes during my tenure with the LIC.  "I couldn't have done it without you" is literally true!  I am grateful to Catherine Townsend and Rob Gorman for organizing the luncheon and all that went with making it the memorable occasion it will be.  Finally, I am grateful for the time Leigh and I had before my retirement.  With her the LIC is in good and very capable hands.

Blessings to each and everyone of you!

Dan

"Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."

Matthew 18:20

Then our mouth was filled with laughter
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then it was said among the nations,
β€œThe Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we rejoiced.

~Psalm 126:2-3 (NRSV)
